Concert in The Round Tower in Copenhagen Sunday the 24th June at 20:00

The University Choir Lille MUKO has been selected to participate in a large international choir competition in Debrecen in Hungary on 5. - 8. July. As part of the preparations for the competition the choir will present the programmes at a concert in The Round Tower.

The choir has put together 3 short and varied programmes with music by Danish and foreign composers, among others Vagn Holmboe, Per Nørgård, Niels la Cour, Bo Holten, Ildebrando Pizzetti, Bejnamin Britten and Sven-David Sandström, as well as a section with entertaining Danish songs.

Tickets cost DKK 100 and can be bought on The Round Tower's website or at the door.

Classical choir in Copenhagen - The University Choir Lille MUKO

The University Choir Lille MUKO is a prominent classical choir based in Copenhagen. The choir consists of current and graduated music students as well as other qualified singers.

The choir was founded in 1967 as an offshoot from MUKO - the choir consisting of music students at the University of Copenhagen. Lille MUKO is still affiliated to the University of Copenhagen, where the choir often performs at official occasions.

Through recordings, national and international activities the aim of the choir is to spread awareness of especially Danish and Scandinavian choral music. Jesper Grove Jørgensen has conducted the choir since 1985.
