One of Denmark’s most beloved and original vocal composers is turning 70 — and that calls for a celebration!

To mark the occasion, Lille MUKO, in collaboration with Matti, his family, and Christians Church, is hosting a festive birthday concert on Friday, May 29 at 7:00 PM — and YOU are invited!

As a gesture from Christians Church and Lille MUKO, the concert is free of charge.

The program will feature a carefully curated selection of Matti’s works, including the lyrical songs he is best known for, as well as music that reveals some of his lesser-known and more surprising sides as a composer.

In addition to Lille MUKO, the performers include none other than Gitta-Maria Sjöberg and Markus Borg — Matti’s wife and their son.

The concert will be conducted by Ole Faurschou.

To conclude the evening, we will join together in singing the well-known and beloved “Et hav der vugger sig til ro nu” (“A Sea That Gently Comes to Rest.”)
